As new adoptive parents, we were surprised to learn how little information our CAS worker had to help us deal with some of the challenges. We discovered that real helpful information comes from other adoptive parents. We have learned so much and benefited from other parents in ways that a social worker or therapist could never provide. Having the ability to connect with other adoptive parents was vital to the success of our adoption, and we hope a more solid network can be built in the province to help new adoptive parents.
